This tool is designed to repair VAG CVT & 0B5 gearbox housings which are showing a defect of the bearing bed on the left-hand side.
In most vehicles with this problem, the gearbox must be removed - this tool allows you to do the job in-house and on the car. Most shops actually replace the whole gearbox - this tool eliminates that need. Symptoms of this fault are vibration and noise under acceleration.
