We have found that with Land Rover Discovery 3 & 4's and Range Rover Sports, with the 6 Speed transmission ZF 6HP26, the filter is moulded into the pan making it almost impossible to replace. It could be done but it will take a huge amount of time and effort lifting things, moving things and tweaking things to get your extraction technique just right. We are now stocking a 6 spd Automatic trans steel sump/pan conversion kit to make this tricky job much easier. Once you convert a vehicle to a steel pan for future transmission fluid changes you will be able to replace just the filter quickly and easily.
